A non-invasive method used to measure hormone levels in an individual's saliva.
Hormones that can be measured through saliva hormone testing include:
- Cortisol: Stress hormone that plays a role in the body's response to stress and regulation of various physiological processes.
- Estrogen: A female sex hormone involved in reproductive functions and other physiological processes.
- Progesterone: Another female sex hormone that plays a crucial role in menstruation, pregnancy, and other hormonal functions.
- DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone): A precursor hormone converted into other hormones, including testosterone and estrogen.
